  1. Slim,
your blog really inspires me and I find so many common visions… I keep going back now occasionally to previous blogs because something I saw I remember…
    So nice
Thank you for making the world so colorful!
    TAMARA

  2. I’m Gobsmacked, Slim—-brilliant.

Where does this craving I periodically get for a certain color come from? I adore red—that is a constant, but of late I’ve had a craving for yellows. I’ve had these color impulses since I was a wee lass. When I was three I informed my Mother that each day my outfit had to include one item of fire engine red. She acquiesced. I wonder if any of this has been studied. Or better yet, I wonder if I need to be studied.

  3. Thank you! I am up early, it is dark and cold outside. I will be heading up to Vermont later in the day to the land of ice and snow and I will carry your images with me. Just thinking of the turquoise and clementine will warm my toes as I shiver up the ski lift.

  4. What a sheer delight to see your exquisite photos and displays of color, immensely
welcome and appreciated right now as we approach the real winter doldrums. You are always spot on! Many thanks.

  5. Slim – recently I spent the last hour going through all your blog to last year … wonder how that corpse flower is going on! Love your writing!

  6. We’ve had nothing but foggy gray skies for about 10 days here in Nebraska (accompanied by temps between 15-35. Thanks for the respite. I do feel better (and I feel like shopping for a little something tangerine too).

  7. Your blog once more such a welcome view on such a gloomy and sad week. Keep your beautiful photos, ideas and wit coming. Yes we all feel a lot better now. Difficult to find a fav., your purse, scarves, beads etc. very different and beautiful. Happy weekend.

  8. Slim, this post did make me feel better. I love all the photos and connections you are making with each. Did you paint the one watercolor with the dripping paint?

    • No L.E. I wish!! It has been up on my bulletin board for so long, I unfortunately no longer remember who the artist is.
Next year- I start painting again!

  9. Love how colors make even a dark, cold, wintery days seem bright and sunny… I’m with you on the turquoise and super excited that it has made it into the top 10 colors for spring! Hopefully Vancouver will take some of the color trends and branch out from the black that everyone seems to be so attached to…. I’m not sure how that caught on because it’s a pedestrian’s death wish in this rainy town!

Hmmm, I wonder if Christian Lacroix has that dress in anything larger than 0?

  10. Can we just pause a moment so I can faint? Beautiful beautiful beautiful! It’s so nice to see a fellow Santa Barbaran have such exquisite taste!

My blog is only in its budding stage, but I would love it if you’d take a look!

Would love to hear from you!
