  1. What a fantastic series of images {esp. the son’s toes}. Love all of the outdoor inspiration, especially the fort and the large dining table outdoors. Stop by the market for more outdoor living inspiration, we’re touring the beach clubs in the South of France.

  2. So shocking… Just leaving Europe after two
city/ beach weeks and can’t understand
how you developed all those photos of me
    SO quickly!!!
Love to you in summer and all year round.

  3. Summer has hit NE full force with temps in the 90′s. Thanks for inspiration to do more than languish!
    Best to you,
    Ruth

  4. Slim,
Hooray it’s summer…please let the temperatures hover around the mid to high seventies all season. :-)
    Karen

  5. Love that hammock, I have been searching for the perfect one, you found it!…There is nothing like taking a warm summer shower outside and then falling asleep cradled in a hammock………..luv summer……………….enjoy :)

  6. I can not tell you how anxiously I await another posting from you….your photos are exquisite..definately takes my mind to another place–of beauty and fanciful fun! and those chubby toes! I just might try those gourmet home made popsicles—and look at the beautiful photos wistfully–as our summer means 100 degree days more and more…

  7. Oh Thank you for that reprieve from SBJG (Santa Barbara June Gloom)! I promise to do all of those things… I may start with the perfect Margarita! :-)

  8. Wow I wished I looked like one of those diving girls, geez. Beautiful images, we are having Juneuary in Vancouver still, although I think the sun may make a short appearance today just to tease us.

  9. Seeing all the images was inspiring! Reading all the comments is “entertaining” ~ too much fun! Still smiling …. xoxo

  10. If I had that margarita I would be fine without the sun. Although just about a half hour ago the sun finally made an appearance in downtown Santa Barbara. I hope it did the same in your neck of the woods!

  11. The WHATever photograph: someone give that girl a sandwich. She looks like it’s been a couple of years since she had a meal. :)

  12. Oh I love the BBOTB!
Our cruising friends do that every year in Desolation Sound!
    (bare bums over the bow)

Slim your photos are over the top…

  13. Good advice, and well-timed for me, as I may very well rethink my “doing some more work” decision this morning and just go to the beach. Argh…hard to feel ok about, but this was just the thing to get me closer…thanks and Happy Summer. xx

    P.S.
Have the suit that Giselle is wearing and now I am thinking “what was I thinking???” But, you are right…”whatever”. I doubt anyone will confuse us and say “wow, Giselle looked way better). ;)

    • ya-who wants to end up with their photo beside Giselle on the “Who Wore It Better?” page of “US” Magazine?!!

  14. Lovely to meet you,Jody here, I came through Gardeners Cottage. Now I feel refreshed (marg) and revived for summer. Please, please send us some sun though – I had my UGGs on today in the Bay Area! June gloom go away….
