Bold Nature

Slim Photo. ………………….II adore the colour combination in this flower growing in my garden right now- it reminds me of India and the way they use colour there with such abandon. It’s an inspiration to me.
.
I’m also very inspired by this gorgeous vintage style tea dress from the Etro Spring collection
I’ll take that bag too, thank you very much

Slim Photo……………Now these are NOT MY roses- They’re from a friend’s garden party – LOOK at those “Ashes of Roses” lavender ones and those colours together! and I took this with my iphone so the quality is not great.

Slim Photo.………Sunset in Santa Barbara last night
I can’t stop taking photos at the moment- the light has been so incredible these last couple of weeks in Santa Barbara! God knows California has it’s trials and tribulations (Hellooo- do we have ANY money left?!!) but you can’t deny the natural beauty and the amazing climate in early January. I’m so enjoying this beautiful Sunday and putting into practice my resolution to appreciate and live in the quiet moments. I even did yoga this morning. Some of the other resolutions…mmm…not so much… but as Scarlett says “Tomorrow IS another day…”

As a long time resident – now living in Portland – this is just heart
breakingly, take your breath away beautiful! Thanks, I think.
Slim, I never knew I liked in any way the colors of the pink- purple spectrum. Your photos here have altered my thinking.
ahh…..lovely lovely range illustrated so well. I wonder if one can find some interiors in the same hues.
I stand in awe of what God creates–so many gifts. Your photos are wonderful.
A beautiful way to start a new week. Every shot stunning, Love every one for the same reason you chose to share. Thanks again S.P.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful sunset. It’s a relief to those of us who are dealing with winter’s fury.
Beautiful!
I am buying both those dresses. now.
I miss those sunsets in SB, but we have also had amazing ones in Point Roberts, Wa. Sunrises too.
The rose image: Were there some hydrangeas in the roses too?
A summer South Beach Sunset. Nothing like it…..
Yes, Suzanne, a few touches of light green hydrangea, tinged with violet.
Beautiful photos – you really do have the loveliest garden! I am jealous as I look at my yard of snow. That sunset is divine… thanks for sharing!
That was one masterful sunset. Thank you, God. Thank you, Slim.
Hi Slim,
I love your beautiful photographs and your unique content. I have used one of your photos from this post. (the lovely roses–I can’t believe you got such a gorgeous shot fro your iPhone), in my blog Decor Arts Now. The post is on the color purple. I put in a plug for your blog with a link back to you. Hope some new readers find you thru me. You can check out the post at http://www.decorartsnow.com
All the best,
Lynn
I love your blog — so colorful and vibrant. I learned about your BLOG coming from Spendid Market
I made a bouquet of Daphne the other day and was thinking how the pink puffs have always reminded me of ballerina tutus. When I wrote about it I linked to your piece with the flower compared to the etro dress. I love it when nature influences fashion. Really enjoying your writing, esp. about the pilates instructor — it always makes me laugh!!
I found you through Splendid Market! Beautiful photos, & I love ETRO. When I shop at ETRO I ask if they’re throwing any boxes away and now I have 10 of their beautiful Italian paisley boxes stacked at my desk holding photos, documents, paint samples, etc.
